Position Overview
The Boeing Company is hiring a Supplier Quality Specialist in Northern Ireland. This site-based role involves leading and reporting audits and assessments of suppliers' systems, processes, and products, including inspections of hardware and assemblies. The individual will support and report on supplier audits and assessments, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and conduct audits of supplier systems, processes, and products to ensure compliance with Boeing requirements.
2. Document and report audit and assessment results.
3. Inspect or verify products for compliance with various technological and commodity requirements.
4. Ensure timely processing of supplier notifications related to quality escapes and evaluate supplier responses.
5. Conduct investigations supporting rejected products and failure notices.
6. Assess supplier capability and capacity for current and future work.
7. Provide supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
8. Monitor and support supplier quality improvement initiatives, developing training materials as needed.
9. Support regulatory agency audits (FAA).
This role offers a hybrid working model, with an expectation to work onsite weekly at either Kilkeel or Portadown. Flexibility in working arrangements may be required to adapt to business and supplier needs. Occasional travel within the UK is expected.
Qualifications:
Required:
* At least 5 years of related work experience.
* Experience in audits and quality assessments.
* Technical ability to perform source inspections on hardware and assemblies.
* Knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action methodologies.
* Effective communication skills across organizational levels.
* Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Preferred:
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or technical disciplines.
* Knowledge of aircraft interiors.
* Understanding of ISO9001 or AS9100 standards.
* Experience with AS9102, AS9117, and AS9145 standards.
* Experience working with aerospace industry suppliers or government agencies.
* Ability to develop and implement supplier improvement plans, training, and coaching.
Additional Information:
This position is for a site-based individual in Northern Ireland. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the UK; Boeing does not sponsor visas.
