NSS supports customers to deliver their services more efficiently and effectively and we offer shared services on a national scale using best-in-class systems and standards. Our priority is always the same – to improve the health and well-being of the people of Scotland. We do this by working in partnership with colleagues across Health and Social Care to deliver fit for purpose solutions and systems, delivering high quality services that help our stakeholders to free up resources so they can be re-invested into essential services.

The Post

NSD plans, funds and co-ordinates national specialist and screening services on behalf of NHS Boards and the Scottish Government Health & Social Care Directorates (SGHSCD). Fundamental to the success of these programmes of work is the use of clinical and other information to drive improvement. The Information Management Service (IMS) identifies and delivers information management requirements to enable the delivery of individual network and project requirements to all of NSD.

NSD seeks a Data Analyst to provide data analysis and audit support activities for a portfolio of national networks and services, as well as additional administrative and project support services to the Information Management Service (IMS).

The Candidate

The postholder, responsible to the IMS Management Team, will be part of a team delivering a high-quality data, analytical and support service to a significant number of national managed clinical and diagnostic networks, specialist services and screening programmes across Scotland within National Services Division, along with other associated projects.
