Key Responsibilities
* Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
* Supporting the development of Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost plans, and tender documentation.
* Conducting measurements, valuations, and cost assessments throughout project lifecycles.
* Assisting in the administration of JCT and NEC contracts.
* Supporting procurement processes, tender analysis, and subcontractor appointments.
* Attending project meetings and liaising with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
* Assisting with cost forecasting and risk analysis to ensure projects remain within budget.
* Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Requirements
* A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
* 1-3 years of experience in a quantity surveying or cost management role (consultancy experience).
* Understanding of pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and measurement software (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX, or similar).
* Knowledge of JCT and NEC contract frameworks.
* Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* A proactive and self-motivated approach to professional development.
* Full UK driving licence but not essential.
