About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

* Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

* Supporting pupils in developing practical and theoretical scientific knowledge

* Preparing pupils for GCSE Science examinations

* Monitoring pupil progress and providing clear, constructive feedback

* Ensuring laboratory safety procedures are followed at all times

* Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development

* Supporting extracurricular science opportunities and STEM activities

* Creating a positive and respectful classroom environment


Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

* Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

* Have strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

* Be confident teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4

* Demonstrate strong classroom management skills

* Be able to motivate pupils and support their academic development

* Work effectively within a collaborative department

* Be committed to professional development and continuous improvement
