What you’ll be doing
As the new Hire Manager at Travis Perkins Bracknell, you’ll be at the forefront of driving growth and success within an evolving Hire department!
You will lead one direct report within the wider branch team of 11. The mid-sized Travis Perkins Bracknell branch needs a confident Hire Manager to take charge of a quiet department after a short downtime, generating and capitalizing on opportunities to grow your market share. You’ll drive continual improvement of Hire and its integration into the wider branch, enhancing team knowledge to support upselling tools, services, and stock.
You typically see 30 of your 120-piece inventory hired each day, with larger stock kept offsite at other local TP branches.

What you’ll be responsible for:
* Crushing Sales Goals: Develop a sales action plan and drive results beyond targets. Be proactive.
* Coaching & Training: Work with the Branch Manager to train the team on tool hire, sharing your knowledge.
* Keeping Things Running: Ensure all tools and equipment are safe, functional, and ready for use.
* Stock Control: Balance stock levels to meet demand without excess.
* Leading the Team: Oversee daily team operations, training, supervising, and motivating.
* Top Service: Handle customer queries, offer solutions, and upsell to increase sales.
* Communication: Keep the team and branch informed through daily toolbox talks and effective communication.
Who you are
Experience: Background in tool or plant hire, leadership, sales, or customer service is welcome.
Leadership: Ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a team.
Safety Focused: Ensure safety of equipment and environment.
Proactive: Thrive in a fast-paced environment and seek continuous improvement.
