About The Role
This brand new opportunity for a Principal or Associate Public Health Engineer is based in our Bournemouth or Reading offices.
Bournemouth: we have maintained an office on the south coast for more than 45 years, building significant building services expertise and long‑term relationships locally and beyond.
Reading: a thriving town with exponential growth across many sectors, supporting transformational and sustainable change with major projects such as Station Hill.
We are eager to speak with candidates who have experience in commercial, residential, and mission‑critical projects.
As a Principal or Associate Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering designs for a range of project types and sizes within a multidisciplinary team.
A critical aspect of this role is to support and develop a team of technically competent, collaborative, and highly engaged members.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for day‑to‑day technical delivery of public health design services for multi‑disciplinary projects across several building sectors.
* Lead the development of initial strategic concepts for projects, ensuring solutions fit the brief and meet regulatory standards.
* Interact regularly with internal and external stakeholders, attending project meetings and translating the brief within the project team.
* Help monitor fee expenditure, resources, and work delivered, working with the team leader.
* Mentor and support next‑gen professionals, including apprentices and graduates.
About You
* Proven experience working as a Public Health Engineer or closely related role, with a track record delivering complex projects.
* Understanding of all drainage services, including rainwater and domestic water services.
* Experience with relevant software/tools such as Revit and AutoCAD.
* Self‑awareness, an open mind, and a spirit of generosity.
* Conversant with relevant British Standards.
* Consultancy experience.
