The Build Technician is responsible for the assembly and preparation of Formula 1® cars and related components. This role involves working closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure that all parts are built to the highest standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in vehicle assembly and a passion for motorsport.
* Assemble various components of the race car according to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring precision and attention to detail
* Conduct thorough inspections of all parts and assembled components to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
* Work closely with engineers and other technicians to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues and ensure that production schedules are met
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tools and assembly equipment to ensure smooth operations
* Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, inspections, and testing procedures. Document any issues encountered during the assembly
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the assembly process, offering suggestions for enhancements and efficiencies
* Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment

What do you need to bring to the team?
* Technical certification or diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
* Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
* Willingness to work long and flexible hours, including weekends, especially during race seasons
* This position requires manual dexterity, as well as the ability to lift and handle heavy components
* Compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy and all relevant statutory health and safety legislation is essential
