Description To aid the work package manager for all Non-Tidal Basin, Berths C & D, Surveys & Site Set Up. This post is to aid the Work Package Manager / WPM lead responsible for planning, monitoring and managing projects and supply chain from initiation through to completion in alignment with the PEP and regulatory requirements. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence both within and outside of their team and supply. They secure the supply chain required resources and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes. Responsible for managing teams and supply chain to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs. Responsibilities Help WORK PACKAGE MANAGER oversee all Non Tidal Basin,Berths C & D, Surveys & Site Set Up activities, and supply chain ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and schedule Help WORK PACKAGE MANAGER ensure that engineering and design outputs are translated effectively into project deliverables. Help WORK PACKAGE MANAGER Coordinate interfaces between supply chain and other teams Help WORK PACKAGE MANAGER responsible for project KPIs for schedule, cost, quality, and safety performance for areas managed. Help WORK PACKAGE MANAGER maintain and act on a live register of delivery risks and issues, for project and supply chain escalating where necessary. Help WORK PACKAGE MANAGER manage change control processes for their area. Help WORK PACKAGE MANAGER champion nuclear safety and quality standards throughout the delivery lifecycle. Help WORK PACKAGE MANAGER ensure effective coordination with the supply chain. To aid the WORK PACKAGE MANAGER who is accountable for combined project performance for all Non-Tidal Basin, Berths C & D, Surveys & Site Set Up works. To aid the WORK PACKAGE MANAGER who is accountable for the development of project plans ensuring alignment with the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and programme strategy. To aid the WORK PACKAGE MANAGER who is accountable for achieving key physical milestones, including enabling works, construction phases, and readiness for commissioning. To aid the WORK PACKAGE MANAGER to ensure timely assurance delivery To aid the WORK PACKAGE MANAGER to provide accurate and timely delivery updates to his/her supervisor Qualifications Essential Chartered Engineer CEng/Chartered MAPM or equivalent professional status or working to NEC qualification or equivalent NVQ Ability to analyse multifaceted technical, logistical challenges and develop practical, risk-informed solutions. Desirable Proven experience in delivering large-scale, complex infrastructure projects ideally in nuclear structures (Cat A). Deep understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and commissioning processes. Skilled in managing design-to-delivery transitions and resolving technical interface issues. Experience in delivery assurance, quality control, and performance reporting. Ideally an understanding of nuclear safety principles, construction safety, and quality assurance standards. Experience implementing structured change control processes in high-assurance environments. Understanding of configuration management and technical baselining Must have proven track record of delivering FRC (civils) projects in all aspects in both self delivery and subcontracting models ideally. Experienced in using different falsework and formwork types Has experience in working in the role of TWC/TWS understands the permit to load and unload process etc Understands CDM and has experience in designing out risk in relation to both permanent and temporary works/full life cycle of project Has experience in managing reinforcement detailing Can read and understand, work with reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Has experience in setting out and knows what’s needed for geospatial control and monitoring Understands what the usual snags are when it comes to a final shutter pour. Understands about surface prep of shutter, construction joint preparation etc Understands about material approval s / concrete design mix’s Experience in getting approval for all FRC sundries, reinforcement (CARES) and concrete mix designs ( Nuclear would be great not essential) Also experienced in post concrete checking in relation to cover meter surveys etc Has experience with if things go wrong common practices with fixing issues and repair (hydro demo etc) Experience in delivering FRC structures through full life cycle to delivery/ handover/maintainer Has experience with lifting and is ideally a AP Appointed person for lifting Has proven track record of working on projects with a high logistical constraints but has always managed to deliver Has experience in working with structural steel in addition to FRC, Experienced in structural design and delivery of ie f rom managing the design of structural steel to steel and steel to concrete connections plus. Welding types, what’s needed and testing. Experienced in Sub contract management of FRC subcontractors from developing tender scope s to contract award. Managed prestart meetings/ readiness reviews, HAZID,s,weekly meeting, KPI reporting and management of cost and programme ideally working with NEC 3/4, using option A/C contracts Familiar and has used P6 Cemar Auto CAD/micro station Has been party to the development of construction management plans/ and has managed stakeholder buy in of the plans Understands all common H&S practices and governances needed for FRC and working with structural steel ideally Some experience in delivering services/MEP elements in conjunction of FRC desirable Has worked with behavioural safety techniques and managed them and practiced them LI-MF1
