The role
We’re looking for a proactive, people-focused On-Site Coordinator to be the first point of contact for our temporary workforce at a fast-paced parcel operation. You’ll handle check-ins, staffing levels, basic HR/compliance admin and day-to-day liaison with warehouse shift leaders to keep headcount on track and shifts running smoothly.
What you’ll do
* Meet & greet / check-in temps at both shift start times; complete headcount and allocate workers to areas.
* Time & attendance: maintain accurate records; chase no-shows; process swaps/replacements quickly.
* Daily liaison with client shift managers on headcount, changes, and performance updates.
* Fill last-minute requests using pre-vetted workers; coordinate short-notice cover.
* Inductions & briefings: deliver site tours, H&S basics, PPE checks, and key process reminders.
* Welfare & performance: be the go-to for queries; give on-the-spot coaching and escalate issues appropriately.
* Compliance admin: right-to-work verification (as required), AWR/WTD awareness, timesheet sign-off.
* MI & reporting: submit attendance, attrition, and incident notes; flag risks early.
* Standards & safety: champion housekeeping, safe conduct, and respectful behaviour on site.
About you
* Experience in on-site coordination, warehouse supervising, or high-volume staffing (agency or in-house).
* Calm, organised and decisive under time pressure; confident communicator at all levels.
* Comfortable enforcing site rules and addressing performance/welfare matters professionally.
* IT-literate (T&A systems, spreadsheets, messaging apps).
* Reliable for split shifts 7 days a week (we can discuss a job-share, e.g., AM/PM split or alternate days).
* Driving licence/own transport is highly desirable due to split-shift hours.
* Must have legal right to work in the UK
