Are you a passionate and creative educator with the ability to inspire learners through Music and Creative Digital Technologies? Do you have experience supporting students with additional needs and a desire to make a meaningful impact in a specialist education setting?
We are working with a smaller specialist SEN School in Ipswich who are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Music and Creative Digital Technologies to join their team.
About the Role
You will be delivering engaging and accessible lessons in:
· Music (practical and/or theory)
· Creative Digital Technologies (e.g., digital media, creative software, audio production, basic ICT skills)
The school caters for students with a range of additional needs, including ASC, SEMH, communication difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties. Your lessons will focus on creativity, confidence building, and developing practical digital and musical skills.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to SEN learners
· Create a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
· Use creative approaches to inspire engagement and participation
· Work closely with support staff and the wider SEN team
· Track progress and provide constructive feedback
· Contribute to the schools creative curriculum and enrichment opportunities
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
· QTS or QTLS (essential)
· Experience teaching Music and/or Creative Digital Technologies
· Previous experience working within an SEN setting (highly desirable)
· A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
· Strong communication and behaviour management skills
· A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
