Due to continual growth, we are seeking a skilled Metrology Engineer with a strong background in toolmaking or precision engineering. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with experience in detailed inspection, dimensional verification, and high-accuracy tooling.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Utilize Laser trackers and Portable Arms to assemble precision fixtures and tooling.
2. Perform precision measurement and inspection of complex components and tooling.
3. Read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T.
4. Produce detailed inspection reports.
What You Bring:
1. Previous experience as a toolmaker or precision engineer.
2. Strong understanding of machining, tolerancing, and part inspection, jig and fixture assembly.
3. Experience with Leica or Faro Laser Trackers, Hexagon Arms.
4. Experience with Spatial Analyzer and/or Polyworks.
5. Willingness to work on customers' sites when required.
6. Driving License.
7. Commutable to New Mills, Derbyshire.
