Smart Metering is more than technology — it’s a game-changer. By helping us reduce water abstraction and carbon footprint, it empowers customers to manage their water usage and helps us detect leaks faster than ever before. This brand-new role reports to the Metering Operations Team Lead and collaborates with Customer Service teams and our Alternative Metering Service (AMS) Partner to ensure each meter installation meets high standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Auditing metering jobs for accuracy and compliance
* Resolving operational exceptions and anomalies
* Driving process reviews and continuous improvement
* Creating and delivering training to upskill internal and external teams
* Supporting escalations and complex issue resolution
* Monitoring third-party performance and fostering collaboration
* Using data to uncover trends and inform decisions
* Championing service quality and operational excellence
What You’ll Bring
* A strong background in customer service operations (utilities experience a plus)
* Sharp attention to detail and a knack for solving problems
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Confidence working with data and making informed decisions
* Experience supporting third-party partners and driving performance
* A proactive mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
* Experience in data processing and customer service
* Proven success working with third-party vendors
Desirable
* Knowledge of metering technologies
* Background in the utilities industry
