About Role:
We currently have a vacancy for a Maintenance Technician to join the Maintenance Team. The team are responsible for providing an essential service to Production within the Plant Maintenance Team, looking after all machines and associated equipment; pasteurisers, centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, Elopak filling and packing machines, tray packers, shrink wrappers, Mariani palletisers and conveyors.
Duties include:
* Maintenance of lines and associated equipment to ensure optimum performance
* Troubleshooting to ensure that downtime is kept to a minimum and that all issues are responded to accordingly
* Fault finding on machinery during breakdowns (mechanical and/or electrical)
* Preventative servicing, maintenance and routine checks of all machinery and associated equipment
* Communicating with colleagues to ensure issues are dealt with and shift handover is completed
* Completing all paperwork and documentation as required Assisting in machine changeovers
* Following and adhering to all Health & Safety standards and all SOP’s
* Getting involved in decommissioning or commissioning of machines / and Maintenance projects as required
* Flexible across the production facility
Qualifications and skill Requirements:
* Formal Qualifications from a Mechanical discipline with some Electrical training, coming from a Manufacturing background
* Experience with automatic palletisers, conveyors, pallet wrappers, pasteurisers would be desirable
* A key element of this role is flexibility, Mulrines operates a 24-hour plant, therefore 3 shifts run throughout the day, you must be willing to work shifts and weekends.

About The Role
The successful candidate will help minimise downtime, maintain high operational standards, and contribute to the overall reliability and performance of the plant. Working as part of a collaborative team, the technician will be responsible for maintaining equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production.

P Mulrine & Sons was established in 1919. Originally located just off Main Street Ballybofey with a workforce of 4 people, the company specialised in the production and distribution of soft drinks and bottled beer.
In 1971 P Mulrines & Sons Sales was established, and a new plant was opened on the Donegal Road which offered greater opportunities to the local people for employment with numbers increasing to around 80 people at the site
With the period of growth that followed our first Tetra Pak fillers were introduced in 1982.
An independent fourth generation family business the Company has grown steadily over the years. As a family business we are very proud of our local heritage and of the loyal workforce we have generated here in Ballybofey and the surrounding area, currently employing over 250 people across all sites.
