We’re looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our young, dynamic team. 📝 Role Overview
As an Assistant QS, you’ll support our Commercial Manager and Surveyors across the full project lifecycle — from pre-construction and tendering through to final accounts. You’ll be involved in both office-based and on-site work, gaining real insight into how commercial decisions drive project success, while developing your technical and professional capabilities.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing cost plans, estimates, and tender submissions
* Support procurement and subcontractor management
* Attend site visits, valuations, and progress meetings
* Help track variations, manage cost control, and produce financial reports
* Maintain accurate project documentation
* Collaborate with site and project teams to ensure best commercial outcomes
* Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously
✅ What We’re Looking For
* BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management (or working towards it)
* Strong numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
* Confident communicator – both written and verbal
* A proactive, team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn
* Good IT skills (especially Excel and MS Office)
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
* Full UK driving licence
