<div><h3>About the Role</h3><p>We are currently looking for a Case Manager to join our Court of Protection team in our Bristol office. This is a great opportunity to join a successful and supportive team, in a role you can have a genuine positive impact on the individuals you are working with.</p><h3>Day to Day Responsibilities</h3><p>You will be responsible (under supervision) for managing the financial affairs of vulnerable people, in particular, those with limited mental capacity.</p><p>Regular duties will include but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Being the main point of contact for clients / third parties.</li><li>Complete monthly cabinet check exercise.</li><li>Raising CW bills as appropriate.</li><li>Reviewing care funding position and completing financial assessments, making funding applications as/when required. Managing funding where applicable including direct payments.</li><li>Completion of necessary checklists and reviews (Initial Appointment, New Admin Year, Monthly, Property sale / purchase, Moving home, Deceased)</li><li>Complete annual Benefit Reviews making new claims as/when required. Updating DWP of relevant changes as appropriate.</li><li>Arranging necessary Insurance</li><li>Obtaining Quotes.</li><li>Checking OPG reports and referring as required.</li><li>Dealing with Post</li><li>Managing emails received via COP email inbox</li><li>Finalising annual visit checklist and undertaking the annual deputy visit (where appropriate).</li><li>Arranging and preparing for annual IFA meetings</li><li>Managing employment of carers including monthly payroll arrangements</li><li>Managing receipt of Periodical payments including evidencing proof of life</li><li>Authorising payments on HSBC.net</li><li>Deputy Accounts / Reconciliation.</li><li>Draft Best Interest Decisions (for deputy approval)</li></ul><p>It is an integral part of this role that you comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures.</p><h3>What Makes You Right for This Role</h3><p>It requires a caring nature, seeing this role as more than a ‘job,’ taking your responsibilities to our vulnerable clients very seriously, whether the task is big or small.
