We are seeking an enthusiastic, growth-minded individual to join us as a Commercial Project Engineer in our Seattle/Kirkland location.
The Commercial Project Engineer/Project Coordinator prepares projects for Project Managers by gathering information and analyzing key metrics. This role involves excellent coordination and communication with all team members, including customers/clients, sales personnel, estimators, and project teams, to ensure projects are administratively complete. Expect an active, fast-paced workday where multi-tasking is essential. The goal is to provide ongoing project management, submittals, and detailed cost control reports to support informed decision-making that enhances profitability and growth.
Minimum Qualifications:
* 5+ years of project coordination experience in the construction industry
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong leadership and supervision skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to climb a 32' ladder as needed
* Strong knowledge of all commercial and residential roof systems and accessories
* Proficient in MS Office and basic computer software
* Proof of legal right to work in the United States
* Current driver's license with no restrictions
* Successfully pass drug screening and background check
Essential Functions:
* Complete engineering projects through organization and control of project elements
* Develop project objectives by reviewing proposals and plans and consulting with management
* Define project responsibilities by identifying phases and elements, assigning personnel, and reviewing bids from contractors
* Identify project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards
* Conduct technical studies and prepare cost estimates
* Prepare and present product submittals
* Define project schedule by studying plans and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing activities
* Maintain project schedule by monitoring progress and coordinating activities
* Control project plan by reviewing design and specifications, scheduling changes, and recommending actions
* Manage project costs by reviewing expenditures and administering contracts
* Prepare project status reports by collecting and analyzing data and trends, and recommending actions
* Maintain project database
* Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations
* Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Physical Requirements: While performing duties, employees are regularly required to talk or hear, sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May lift up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
