As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Senior Operations Manager – Continuous Improvement & Innovation, Supply Chain to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.
About the Role:
Are you a passionate, analytical, and customer-obsessed leader ready to raise the bar in supply chain innovation and operational excellence? We’re seeking a Senior Operations Manager – Continuous Improvement & Innovation to join our Supply Chain leadership team. This newly created role is pivotal in driving transformation across our network, enabling growth, enhancing service levels, and reducing costs through cutting-edge innovation and process optimisation.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute a roadmap for continuous improvement and innovation across our supply chain network.
2. Identify and implement initiatives that enhance cost, speed, and quality.
3. Introduce automation and mechanisation to elevate service levels and operational efficiency.
4. Partner with procurement, logistics, IT, and operations to deliver scalable solutions.
5. Establish KPIs, track performance, and present insights to senior leadership.
6. Ensure our network is resilient, flexible, and ready to scale with business demands.
7. Deep dive into operational performance to identify and solve problems.
8. Build resilience and agility across seasonal cycles.
9. Conduct network modelling to align with strategic goals.
10. Launch CI culture and standardise improvements across the network.
11. Develop future network scenarios to support strategic decision-making.
12. Support commercialisation through supply chain capabilities.
Person Specification:
13. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
14. 5–10 years in supply chain leadership roles, ideally in FMCG, retail, or omnichannel environments.
15. Strong background in network optimisation, planning, and operational execution.
Essential Skills/ Experience:
16. Exceptional organisational and governance skills.
17. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
18. High energy, self-starter mindset with a collaborative approach.
19. Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
20. Analytical thinker with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
21. Experience with P&L responsibility.
22. Familiarity with planning tools like Data Guru, Supply Chain Guru, SAP APO/IBP.
23. Proven track record of delivering measurable improvements in cost, quality, and speed.
