Advert Relief Ferries Assistant Pier Worker Longhope Hours are offered on an as and when required basis £15.07 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance) A shift allowance will be paid for unsocial hours worked where appropriate You will be reporting to the Ferry Services Manager. The purpose of this role is to assist with loading and unloading ferries. The post requires handling of ships ropes and gangways (as required) during berthing/unberthing operations. Also there would be the possibility of a requirement to be on out of hours call out, when vessel is called upon for Ambulance / Fire Service to aid a situation in the community. The necessary qualification, experience and skills required for this role are detailed in the ‘must have’ section of the attached job profile.
