As part of the IT Operations team, the IT Support Engineer will work closely with a dynamic service desk and external partners to provide high-quality IT support across the business, with a primary focus on the UK user base. This is a hands-on, varied role that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across multiple areas of the organisation.
You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining desktop hardware, managing user accounts, maintaining server infrastructure, and supporting telephony systems. Your proactive and service-oriented approach will be essential in strengthening relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
This role also supports key ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, Asset, and Change Management. It offers excellent career development opportunities within both IT and the wider Riviera business.

What you'll be doing
* Deliver first-line and second-line support through a functional service desk, managing incidents and service requests.
* Participate in the on-call rota for out-of-hours support.
* Triage incidents effectively, prioritising and escalating as appropriate to internal teams (IT Ops, Development, Platform, Cyber, Digital) or external vendors.
* Maintain accurate documentation for service usage and administration.
* Administer Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams) and Apple Business Manager.
* Manage endpoint devices (laptops, printers, etc.) and respond to related incidents.
* Handle user account lifecycle management (starters, changes, leavers) using Active Directory and Entra ID.
* Maintain server infrastructure including patching, capacity planning, backups, and restores.
* Monitor infrastructure and perform corrective maintenance as needed.
* Conduct root cause analysis for problem tickets and implement long-term solutions.
* Troubleshoot connectivity issues including networking, firewall, and permissions.
* Contribute to project work as part of operational service delivery
About you
* Strong incident management and triage skills.
* Experience with endpoint device management and Microsoft Intune.
* Familiarity with virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V or VMware).
* Basic understanding of LANs, WANs, and DMZs.
* Working knowledge of Windows 11 and Windows Server (2019/2022/2025).
* Effective team communication and collaboration skills.
* Exposure to Azure cloud services (AZ-900 certification preferred).
* PowerShell scripting proficiency.
* Understanding of firewall operations and web security.
* Solid grasp of ITIL fundamentals.
* Experience with RBAC, VLANs, and VPNs.
* Knowledge of server-based services (DHCP, DNS, NPS).
* Microsoft certifications (MD-100/MD-101, SC-900).
* Experience with Mitel telephony systems.
* Familiarity with CMDBs and asset management.
* Active Directory and Entra ID experience.
* Microsoft 365 and Azure administration.
* Awareness of ISO 20000 standards.
Salary: up to £32,500
