Key Account Manager [Automotive] [UK]
circa £50,000 p.a., DoE, (negotiable)
The Role
ECS Automotive are looking for a head office based Key Account Manager to principally work with one of the world's leading automotive manufacturers, responsible for a UK market share of almost 20%.
Responsible for managing the commercial elements of the account including financial, KPI, and SLA performance, the role will be the main point of contact between ECS and the client and have overall responsibility for the delivery of the services in line with the agreement and the service levels.
In addition, the role requires a strong focus on business development, positioning product and services by developing relationships to generate both new sales and organic growth of existing business.
Working closely with the group’s support functions, the role will report directly into the General Manager and Senior Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities
* Establish and nurture strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and continuing relationship with ECS.
* Identify and secure new business opportunities within existing customer base as well as expanding to any potential clients.
* Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, maintaining our defining commitment to “Setting the Standard”.
* Educate customers on our range of products, services, and expertise.
* Assist in developing effective marketing strategies targeting our desired audience.
* Attending regular account review meetings with client to discuss service provision, assess any savings initiatives, review KPIs and delivery of SLAs, review invoices and budgets.
* Keep informed of industry developments.
Qualifications / Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree desirable, but professional experience would be considered.
* At least three years’ experience in client relations, or account management.
* Prior experience in the automotive industry (Aftersales, Warranty Services, Network Auditing, Customer Experience) is very highly regarded.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to engage with clients.
* Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
* Strong problem-solving skills and capacity to handle customer complaints effectively.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
* Dealership or mechanical experience would be highly regarded but not essential.
Salary and Benefits:
* Salary: circa £50,000 p.a., depending on experience (negotiable).

Schedule:
* 09:00 – 17:30, Monday to Thursday, 09:00 – 16:15 Friday.

* Flexible work option (three days in Ipswich head office, two days at home / visiting clients / visiting team).
