Randstad CP is seeking an experienced Technical Service Manager for a leading Facilities Management company on a national contract.
The role is crucial for the success and growth of the business/services and reports to the Contract Director. You will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date technical competence and applying it to achieve objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise the site team in accordance with company procedures and policies.
2. Ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of the site's M&E plant and equipment, building fabric, infrastructure, external works, grounds, transport, and waste services.
3. Plan and control changes.
4. Research new technologies and methods to improve efficiency.
5. Support a robust out-of-hours call-out system for all contract service lines.
6. Ensure reactive repairs to M&E systems, fabric, and infrastructure are completed correctly and per contract requirements.
7. Provide technical support to team supervisors for prioritizing and delegating reactive and planned maintenance tasks.
8. Ensure scheduled preventative maintenance is performed according to industry best practices.
9. Advise the Account Manager on staffing levels and coverage.
10. Procure and manage subcontractors and specialist service contractors.
11. Monitor staff performance and ensure service delivery exceeds client expectations.
12. Manage budgets, costs, and invoicing.
13. Assist in producing contract review reports.
14. Monitor and audit quality documentation for compliance.
15. Ensure HR policies are followed, including managing grievances and disciplinary processes.
Experience Required:
* Valid UK driver's license.
* Minimum of two years at a similar level or equivalent.
* Knowledge of current technical standards and business-critical services.
* Experience working in a Blue-Chip environment.
* Ability to formulate, assess, and validate risk assessments and method statements.
