About the Role Our client is looking to strengthen their Commercial team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor based at the Hampton office, with hybrid working and site involvement on a major project. Reporting directly to the Managing QS, you'll play a key role in managing several high-value accounts or overseeing the full financial performance of smaller projects—giving you real ownership and impact from day one. What You'll Be Doing Managing applications, valuations, and cost value reconciliation Driving cost control, forecasting, and monthly reporting (value, cost, profit/loss, cash flow) Overseeing supply chain management and subcontractor relationships Supporting Risk & Value Management to optimise project outcomes Handling contract management, including NEC/IChemE frameworks and budgetary control Preparing subcontract enquiries, negotiating and setting up contracts Ensuring all contractual documentation and notifications are up to date Promoting a strong health & safety culture, escalating risks where needed Maintaining close liaison with site teams, subcontractors, and clients Providing commercial and contractual advice to project teams About You Essential: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) RICS accredited or working towards APC Background working with a main contractor Desirable: Experience within the Water sector Knowledge of NEC and/or IChemE contracts Company information At First Recruitment Group we understand just how important it is to secure the right people.
