Key Stage Two Class Teacher – New Forest
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated Key Stage Two Class Teacher to join a well-regarded specialist school in the New Forest. The school is seeking a passionate educator to make a difference in the lives of children with a range of special educational needs. This is a fantastic chance to work in a supportive environment with opportunities for a permanent contract. Pay will be considered according to scale and experience.
About the Role:
As a Key Stage Two Class Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons tailored to the individual needs of your students, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. The pupils in your class will have a variety of special educational needs, including autism spectrum condition (ASC), speech and language difficulties, and complex learning challenges. You will work closely with a team of dedicated teaching assistants and other professionals to ensure that each child receives the support they need to thrive.

* Location: Various sites across the New Forest area
* Contract Type: Initially temporary, with a view to a permanent position
* Working Hours: Full-time (term-time only)
* Start Date: As soon as possible
The school operates across several sites, and you will be placed at the site that best suits your experience, with a focus on Key Stage Two pupils. One site is based in Fawley and the other in Ower at the outdoor learning provision.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching children with special educational needs
* A strong understanding of Key Stage Two curriculum and special needs strategies
* A patient, flexible, and empathetic approach
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* The ability to differentiate teaching to meet the varied needs of students
Essential Requirements:
* A valid Child Workforce Enhanced DBS, registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one at your own cost)
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* Relevant experience within an SEN or Mainstream school setting
