Job Introduction
We have an exciting new opportunity at Gleeson for a Regional SHE Manager. This role is ideal for Health & Safety professionals passionate about delivering H&S guidance and working collaboratively with regional teams.
The purpose of this role is to provide a systematic approach to managing, governing, and assessing all Health & Safety and Environmental aspects within operating practices to ensure compliance with statutory obligations across Gleeson and its operating businesses.
Main Responsibilities

* Provide advice and guidance to regional management on SHE matters, implementing control measures that support the HomeSafe culture and ensure compliance with policies and responsibilities.
* Review, monitor, and advise on SHE policies, procedures, risk management, and governance, ensuring effective implementation by regional management.
* Collaborate with the regional Build Administrator and Learning and Development team to ensure mandatory SHE training reflects full compliance, reviewing the SHE training matrix regularly and addressing concerns.
* Conduct SHE inspections to assess adherence to standards, policies, and processes, managing remediation actions and communications to mitigate risks.
* Lead the investigation and reporting of SHE incidents, ensuring prompt action and lessons learned are documented and communicated.
The Ideal Candidate
* Relevant SHE qualification and experience leading successful residential house building operations.
* Proven ability to develop relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Experience in implementing policies and fostering positive safety cultures.
* Deep knowledge of H&S legislation, construction processes, and related activities.
* Strong communication, planning, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work closely with regional teams.
