Louise Holt Design is seeking a senior or mid-weight interior designer to join its team in Oxfordshire, UK.
Joining a dynamic design studio, you will work as part of a team on high-end residential projects for private clients. These include unique newly built country houses in Oxfordshire, Cotswolds, Berkshire, and elegant houses in London.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the luxury interior design industry, with project management from concept to completion. Strong technical skills in Vectorworks, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills are essential.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Joining a small design studio at senior or mid-level (depending on experience) in a permanent role, reporting to the managing director.
2. Delivering RIBA Stage 4 drawing packages for interior schemes under supervision.
3. Working independently or as part of a team across multiple projects.
4. Attending client, supplier, and site meetings.
5. Producing CAD technical drawings, interior details, concept presentations, mood boards, and material samples.
6. Sourcing fixtures, finishes, and creating presentations for clients and the team.
7. Designing bespoke joinery and creating schedules for tender packages.
8. Developing interior schemes, presentations, and budgets for FF&E.
9. Liaising with suppliers for ordering, scheduling, installation, and quality control.
10. Conducting site visits and ensuring design and quality standards are met.
Requirements:
1. Minimum four years’ post-graduate experience in high-end residential interior design.
2. Experience in the full interior design process.
3. Proficiency in Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, on a MAC.
4. Strong organizational, communication, and technical skills.
5. Attention to detail, contemporary design outlook, and ability to manage multiple projects.
6. Experience in specification schedules, onsite construction, sourcing finishes, and managing budgets.
7. Excellent knowledge of suppliers, problem-solving skills, positive attitude, and a good work ethic.
8. Organized approach, full driving license, and access to a car for site visits.
