The Cook Freeze Production Unit is looking to recruit a highly motivated individual for the position of Production Team Manager at the Cook Freeze Production Unit, situated within the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
The main duties will involve ensuring that all production processes are executed efficiently while complying with food safety regulations. This includes managing and organising shifts, as well as supervising the daily operations of the unit. The individual will be accountable for the daily functioning of the Cook Freeze Production Unit (CFPU), which encompasses all facets of the service from the ordering and receiving of goods to the production and dispatch of meals.
The CFPU caters to the meal provision needs of several external hospital sites, and the post holder will guarantee that all meal component production activities are conducted according to the agreed schedule, upholding consistently high quality standards, and delivered within the established financial limits. The post holder will also be responsible for the management, training, and development of CFPU staff on a daily basis. Furthermore, the post holder will ensure the maintenance of the highest standards of food and environmental hygiene throughout the CFPU and its associated areas.
It is crucial for the post holder to possess experience in a catering environment; however, prior experience in large-scale food production, along with a certificate in advanced food hygiene, is preferred for this role.
