Are you an experienced in Quality Assurance looking to play a key role in ensuring product quality within a busy engineering environment?
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Technician to join a growing manufacturing business. Reporting to the QC Manager, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming, in-process, and returned goods, ensuring they meet company and industry standards.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong inspection experience, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out inspection of incoming, in-process, and returned goods using company systems
Perform quality checks and tests (including dimensional checks)
Interpret engineering drawings, material certificates, and technical documentation
Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) and compile detailed reports
Maintain traceability and control of certification records and documentation
Ensure all measurement equipment is calibrated and within specification
Coordinate and support external visits with customers and certification bodies
Support continuous improvement initiatives across QA and inspection processes
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and 5S within the departmentAbout You
Minimum 2 year's experience in quality technician or engineering role
Experience using metrology equipment (e.g. verniers, height gauges, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical data
Strong communication skills with the ability to work with internal teams and external stakeholders
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Engineering apprenticeship or relevant qualification preferred (degree advantageous)Desirable Skills
Experience with advanced inspection equipment (e.g. Faro arm)
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and internal auditing processes
Experience within machining, casting, or valve manufacturing industries
Familiarity with problem-solving tools (e.g. 5Y, 8D) and MRP systems
Understanding of techniques such as NDT, PMI, or hardness testingWhat's on Offer
