You will work closely with managers and partners, managing complex assignments and ensuring high-quality delivery. A key part of your role will be mentoring and developing junior team members, helping build a confident and capable audit team. This is a challenging role that offers excellent career progression towards management and beyond. Key responsibilities include: * Leading a variety of audit engagements across a diverse client base, liaising closely with managers and partners * Preparing and reviewing audit files, contributing to planning, and leading fieldwork activities * Supporting, coaching, and reviewing the work of junior auditors and semi-seniors * Preparing and finalising statutory accounts * Drafting tax computations for review by the Tax team * Ensuring compliance with auditing standards and firm procedures throughout each assignment * Building and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure smooth and efficient engagement delivery The successful Audit Senior will have: * ACA or ACCA qualified * At least 5 years’ UK practice experience in both audit and accounts * Experience with Xero, Sage, Caseware and CCH would be an advantage * Enjoy working with and helping to develop junior staff * Ambition and drive to meet your full potential Howett Thorpe are acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this role and comply with all relevant UK legislation and do not discriminate on any protected characteristics.
