THE HYDE DUBAI

Hyde Hotels, Resorts & Residences, part of the world-leading Accor group, is the first Hyde hotel outside of the United States, Hyde Dubai Business Bay, in close proximity to the iconic Burj Khalifa, directly fronting the Business Bay canal and promenade.

The hotel features 276 rooms, all with balconies, including a mix of gracious standard rooms and luxurious suites with views of the Dubai Canal, the Dubai skyline, and the iconic Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.

Hyde Dubai offers three culinary experiences: the Mediterranean concept, Cleo Mediterráneo; contemporary Japanese from Katsuya; and handcrafted burgers from Hudson Tavern. The property also includes The Perq, a coffee concept; a lobby lounge; Hyde Pool & Lounge; a spa; male/female salons; a fitness center; a swimming pool; and retail areas. The hotel’s public areas, guestrooms, and restaurants are designed by renowned studios.


Job Description

* Register and room all guest arrivals according to established procedures.
* Perform check-in, check-out, and room change procedures, ensuring all data is accurately entered into the hotel system.
* Maintain cashier float and ensure accurate daily reports of all money received.
* Cash hotel guests’ personal and travelers checks and assist with currency exchange.
* Keep abreast of all modifications to accounting policies and procedures.
* Attend to guests’ requests for using the safety deposit box at all times.
* Be knowledgeable of all special promotion procedures for programs such as Seasonal Packages, Frequent Flyers Programs, and Hotel Group Loyalty programs.
* Attend to guest complaints, inquiries, and requests; refer problems to supervisor/assistant manager if unable to assist.
* Be familiar with other Hyde properties to facilitate onward bookings for guests indicating next destinations.
* Ensure guests depart with a positive impression of the hotel service.
* Perform audit balances and prepare reports for audit in an organized manner.
* During night shifts, check night reports, prepare morning reports, and handle all necessary forms for guest arrivals.
* Maintain comprehensive knowledge of reservation procedures.
* Uphold high standards of behavior, appearance, and attitude in the department.
* Keep the front desk work area clean and orderly at all times.
* Be fully aware of the hotel’s credit policy.
* Adhere to OH&S policies and procedures.
* Perform related duties and any assigned special projects.


Qualifications

* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Ability to develop rapport and support from colleagues and management.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Focus on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
* Promote positive relations with all guests and patrons.
* Exercise good judgment with difficult guests.
* Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
