We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Coach to join our team where you will have the opportunity to Coach Youth in our Youth Athlete Strength and Performance Programme. Plus, Coach adults in our Small Group Training Programme. Helping them all achieve sustainable results while also increasing your coaching knowledge and personal development, with the chance to build a long-term fulfilling career in the industry with us.
Here's what we're looking for in our ideal candidate:
* A Quick Learner: You are someone who can quickly learn our proven systems be it coaching, programming, non-coaching tasks and apply them all to a high standard.
* Invested in Education: You have ideally undertaken a S&C degree or similar qualification that only covers 'training' but athletic focused training.
* Coaching Experience: You will have had experience coaching small groups of adult and ideally youth too making changes when needed to exercises so they suite the individual clients. Experience of Coaching people one to one would be great as there will be opportunity to add 1 to 1 Coaching to your working week paid at a higher hourly rate.
* High Energy & Enthusiastic about coaching Youth and Adults: You thrive in creating a vibrant and energetic environment.
* Able to use Microsoft Excel: You have a good level of understanding of doing simple tasks like entering data, editing worksheets, adding borders, formulas etc.
* Customer First Approach: You will be great at building relationships with people in our gym community and ensure they have the best hour of their day.
* Team Player: You have a strong desire to be part of and support a close-knit team.
* Wellness Strength Training (WST) Advocate: You're willing to embody and promote our values and principles in training & coaching approach.
* Dedicated Professional: You're ready to put in the hard work to build a strong reputation as a Coach who cares about the clients and is great at their profession.
* Ideally First Aid Qualified and you will have to have a DBS criminal record check as you will be working with Children.
Responsibilities:
* Provide Coaching on exercise techniques, ensuring safety and proper form during sessions following our proven coaching and training systems.
* Assisting in programming the Adult Programme. This will include writing up the programme on the Whiteboards plus creating the programme in Excel.
* Keeping the Youth member lift number Excel Sheets are updated and producing weekly sheets with lift number targets for the week.
* Ensuring the Adult members lift tracking Excel sheets are maintained to a high level.
* Community Management/Recognition tasks: This includes writing birthday cards, Facebook posts, checking who isn't getting in for sessions and reaching out to them, posts in our Facebook groups, send a reply to emails. keeping the member information whiteboard and youth timed sprint record whiteboard updated.
* Invest time into learning our training and coaching system plus researching information on injuries, training, exercises, coaching etc, to provide the best service possible.
* Ensure a high level of housekeeping, maintaining a clean and organised training environment, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
* Monitor client progress and adjust training session exercises accordingly for the clients.
* Foster positive relationships with clients, providing encouragement and support throughout their fitness journey.
* Eventually plan and coach One-to-One PT sessions to our standards
Every week there will be a team meeting plus a one to one learning/check in session all invested in your personal development and to pass on the owners learning plus that which he has learned from respected people in the S&C/training industry who have 20 to 40 years experience.
You will also have access to lots of learning resources such as books and online material that has been invested in over the years.
You will get paid annual leave and receive a monthly salary. Plus, you will have opportunity to train at the facility either by joining in one of the groups you don't coach or by using the facility when no group sessions are taking place.
