Our stunning new home, Statham Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built care facility situated in the picturesque village of Lymm in the heart of Cheshire. The home is registered to provide care to 66 residents with a variety of care needs, including residential and nursing care. We uphold the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care, reflecting the New Care vision. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful programme of daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance the experience, care, and wellbeing of our residents. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, undergo a full induction, and receive ongoing training from our in-house trainers in conjunction with the New Care Academy. The home is rated GOOD in all domains by CQC. We have maintained a zero agency staff policy for over 4 years by employing a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care and foster trust with residents. Across New Care, all staff are paid at least the national living wage.
We are seeking to appoint kind, caring, and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team. You will deliver quality care to residents in line with agreed Care Plans and contribute to the efficient running of the Care Home. We offer full-time contracts with an excellent hourly rate of £11.50! Shift times are 07:45 – 20:00, with alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
1. To deliver “hands-on” care to residents in a person-centred way.
2. Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life.
3. Model best practice when delivering care.
4. Assist residents in all aspects of their physical, emotional, and spiritual care needs in line with agreed care plans.
5. Contribute to the daily records of residents.
6. Contribute to effective teamwork and undertake delegated tasks efficiently and effectively.
7. Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults the post holder is responsible for or comes into contact with.
Skills and experience required:
1. Experience at Care Assistant level in a care environment is preferable.
2. Care certificate or equivalent, or a willingness to achieve this within the first 12 months of employment.
3. Evidence of good care practice knowledge relating to the care of older people.
4. Understanding of the 6 principles of care and how they underpin care delivery in a residential/Nursing setting.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team.
6. Self-motivation and confidence.
