Job description
Our client, a specialist in the Nuclear and Oil & Gas sectors, is currently seeking an experienced Welder to join their team on a temporary basis. This role involves working on various projects with a focus on MMA PIPE, MMA, and TIG welding. The ideal candidate will be a skilled Fabricator/Welder and Coded Welder, ready to take on challenging tasks in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform high-quality welding work using MMA, TIG, and other welding techniques applicable to carbon steel and stainless steel
2. Undertake structural and pipe work installations
3. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines specific to the Nuclear and Oil & Gas sectors
4. Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met
5. Participate in testing and qualifying procedures for TIG and MMA welds
6. Assess and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
7. Maintain equipment and work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
8. Ensure compliance with ESCA agreement and site-specific regulations
Job Requirements:
9. Experience in MMA PIPE, MMA, and TIG welding
10. Proven ability to work with carbon steel and stainless steel
11. Experience with structural and pipe work installation
12. Preferably, experience with Tip TIG, MIG/MAG, and orbital systems
13. NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds, Pro Qual Level 3 or equivalent qualifications
14. Valid CCNSG certification is required for site access
15. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
16. Strong communication and teamwork skills
