Art Teacher – Location: Lancaster – Job Type: Full-time, Long-term – Salary: Competitive rates of pay in line with Teacher Pay Scale.
Reed Education is seeking a dynamic Art Teacher to join a secondary school in Lancaster on a long-term basis, starting immediately. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the art curriculum, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.
Day-to-day responsibilities
* Planning and delivering art lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 would be an advantage.
* Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to encourage development.
* Maintaining a stimulating classroom environment that fosters creativity and learning.
* Ensuring compliance with school policies and safeguarding measures.
* Collaborating with other teaching staff to enhance the educational experience of students.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Recent relevant experience teaching Art at KS3 and KS4; experience at KS5 is an advantage.
* Strong classroom management skills and subject knowledge.
* Reliable, committed, and capable of being a good role model with qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills; must be trustworthy, punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
