Role: Senior Programme Manager
Rate: £1000/day inside IR35
Location: London (twice/week onsite)
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6 month initial contract
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Programme Manager to implement and oversee a large-scale technology migration. The successful candidate will have proven expertise in leading IT migrations within a Retail Banking environment.
Responsibilities:
* Leading all aspects of a Technology Migration, at Director Level within Retail Banking or wider Financial Services
* Frequent C-Suite / Board level stakeholder engagement, building relationships and providing regular updates
* Delivery of migration activities as part of a large-scale Retail Banking merger
* Leading multiple workstreams and work packages concurrently
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience operating at a Senior Programme Management or Programme Director level, with accountability for leading large-scale technology migrations within retail banking.
* Demonstrated track record of overseeing multiple complex workstreams and work packages across technology and operations in a merger, acquisition, or divestment context.
* Strong background in systems migration and technology integration in a large financial services environment.
* Ability to provide strategic leadership and direction to senior technology leaders and delivery teams across multiple functions.
* Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the gravitas to influence and engage at CIO and ExCo level.
* Previous end-to-end leadership of the technology aspects of a major banking migration programme, separate from business-side delivery.
* Deep understanding of core banking platforms, IT infrastructure, data, and applications integration challenges in a migration setting.
* Experience delivering within highly regulated financial services environments, ensuring compliance, security, and operational resilience.
* Proven ability to work in fast-paced, high-stakes transformation programmes with significant regulatory and customer impact.
* Flexibility to operate in a remote-first role with travel to UK offices as required by the programme.
