About the Role
As a Junior Kitchen Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Kitchen Manager and leading a talented team of chefs. Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting in the daily operations of the kitchen.
* Stepping up in the Kitchen Manager's absence.
* Monitoring and enhancing guest experiences through continuous improvement.
* Conducting daily briefings and fostering team growth.
* Managing stock control and ensuring food presentation meets our high standards.
* Delivering food cost budgets through effective menu planning.
* Upholding food hygiene standards and health & safety regulations.
In this role, you will be a role model for Butlin’s unique way of working, ensuring that training schedules and performance development plans are in place for your team. You’ll inspire them to deliver a fantastic experience to our guests every time!
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, as our buffet department serves up to 3,000 guests per service. Here’s what we expect from you:
* Experience in a similar role with large volume turnaround.
* Strong time management and organizational skills.
* A hardworking and determined attitude, always looking for better ways to deliver our brand standards.
* Energetic and enthusiastic personality, ready to build relationships with team members and leaders.
* Level 3 Food Safety qualification is a must.
* Confidence in leading a team to maintain high standards in a busy kitchen.
* Ability to manage margins, control costs, and ensure health, safety, and hygiene compliance.

Working Conditions
This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, totaling 40 hours, including evenings and weekends. Please note that this position does not come with onsite accommodation.
