Senior Quantity Surveyor – Housing
Permanent | Exeter
Salary: Up to £70,000 + Car allowance and Bonus
Join a leading UK developer and play a key role in delivering high-quality housing projects. You’ll manage full commercial responsibilities from land appraisal through to final account, ensuring projects run efficiently, safely and profitably.
What You’ll Do
1. Oversee commercial management for multiple housing developments
2. Prepare and monitor budgets, costs and valuations
3. Lead procurement, subcontractor management and cost reporting
4. Support land appraisals with accurate prime cost estimates
5. Implement value engineering to maximise profit
6. Work closely with Site Teams, Technical and Customer Services
7. Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, NHBC and H&S standards
What You’ll Need
8. Strong experience in housebuilding commercial management
9. Excellent knowledge of regulations, H&S and contract law
10. Confident negotiator with strong stakeholder skills
11. IT literate (COINS experience is a bonus)
12. Professional membership (RICS/CIOB) preferred
