Sayjo Recruitment Ltd is acting on behalf of a client to recruit an Internal Sales / Account Manager to focus on New Business. This is an exciting opportunity – the successful candidate will join a great sales team and work in a growing industry.
Company Profile
Our client is a distributor of Solar PV, Energy Storage Systems, Batteries and Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers, etc. They sell to installers across the UK in a business‑to‑business sales / account management role.
Role
The role is part of a sales team that includes a Sales Director, Business Development, Account Managers and Sales Order Processors. The Internal Sales / Account Manager will play an important part in planning and driving future growth by re‑activating dormant accounts and opening new ones. The ideal candidate will be comfortable contacting potential clients via email, phone and social media, and will accurately identify and qualify opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrate previous experience in an internal sales role involving telephone sales work and cold‑calling.
* Use social media, LinkedIn etc. to network sales leads.
* Promote products, services and training to prospective customers through various marketing activities.
* Build rapport with potential clients and dormant accounts.
* Identify and qualify opportunities and set appointments for external sales reps to visit potential customers, if warranted.
* Use a CRM database to record all sales activity.
* Manage time and organisation effectively, ensuring timely follow‑ups.
* Show self‑motivation and ambition to succeed for personal and company gains.
* Work independently while being a strong team player.
* Attend company exhibitions and events, both onsite and offsite.

* Positive, friendly attitude and ability to build healthy relationships with potential or dormant customers.
* Strong market research skills – identify companies, decision makers and buyers.
* Excellent social media, networking and marketing skills.
* Effective written and verbal communication.
* Accurate data entry on the CRM system.
* Share new business opportunities with colleagues and the Sales Director.
* Strong internal communication with the wider team.
* Deliver on targets and deadlines set by the Sales Director.
