RG Consultancy are working with a professional services business in Stockport who are recruiting for an experianced accounts assistant to support a small finance department on a day-to-day transactional basis with purchase ledger duties. The role will mainly be to support the purchase ledger and you will work alongside a transcational manager to support the wider finance department when required. 25 days holiday 8 bank Christmas close down Flexiable working hours Pension scheme Employee discount scheme Free onsite parking Role Responsibilities Purchase ledger, support with processing of high volume of invoices Receiving, reviewing and matching invoices Managing and maintaining the database to ensure it is up to date and compliant Dealing with and processing expenses Bank reconciliations VAT Returns Liaising with suppliers and clients to a high professional standard General office administration duties, e.g. dealing with correspondence, responding to emails, taking phone calls, filing Support with HR & payroll admin when required Person Specification Previous proven experience within an accounts administration or purchase ledger role Experience working within a professional services environment (eg legal sector or an accountancy practice) would be an advantage Good IT skills including SAGE & MS Office & MS Excel Ability to work within a small team and willing to support extra duties/holiday cover An AAT qualification would be an advantage but not essential
