Would you like to work for a growing local business, that has the job security of being part of a multi:billion:pound global manufacturer. Due to a recent promotion they are looking for a mechanically biased shift engineer to join their team.
As a Shift Engineer your key role and responsibilities will be:
* Electrical and mechanical repairs, PPMs and servicing of all site equipment
* Basic facilities and site services maintenance
* Working on production and packaging machinery and ancillary equipment
* Continuous improvement projects and machine upgrades
* Dealing with hydraulics, cylinders, sensors, pneumatics, gearboxes, valves, drives, pumps
Knowledge, skills and experience needed to be a Shift Engineer:
* Must be a mechanically biased engineer
* NVQ Level 3 or higher in mechanical
* MUST have some form of electrical certificate or qualification
* Previously have worked in manufacturing
* Comfortable sometimes working on night shift unsupervised
* Team player, adaptable, approachable and reliable
* Worked on hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gearboxes, pumps
