Job Summary
Housekeepers provide cleaning and catering services as part of the Hotel Services team to office, patient and communal areas within the Trust. They ensure a clean, safe and supportive environment for staff and patients working towards recovery.
Responsibilities
* Provide cleaning services using chemicals and equipment safely and efficiently.
* Support a multi‑professional team; think on the spot and demonstrate empathy.
* Maintain high standards of customer service, supporting the care environment.
* Work shifts at Hummingbird House, Harrogate from 7:00 am to 9:00 am, Monday‑Friday (flexibility for short notice and extra hours).

Qualifications
* Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 (to be completed within 12 months).
* Numeracy and Literacy Level 2.
* ITQ Level 2.
* NVQ Level 2 in Housekeeping desirable.
Experience
* Experience using cleaning materials and equipment.
* Experience in general cleaning duties.
* Experience working or volunteering in a mental health or learning disabilities setting.
Knowledge
* Health & Safety and COSHH.
* National standard of cleanliness.
* Deep‑cleaning procedures.
* Patient‑Lead Assessment of the Care Environment (PLACE).
* Confidentiality.
Skills
* Follow protocols and instructions accurately.
* Attention to detail and thoroughness.
* Safe, efficient cleaning techniques, including motorised equipment and kitchen items.
* Effective verbal and written communication.
* Time management and prioritisation.
Contract & Pay
Permanent, part‑time (10 hours per week). Salary: £24,465 per annum pro‑rate, Band 2.
Work Pattern
Part‑time, 7:00 am – 9:00 am, Monday‑Friday; short‑notice and extra hour opportunities may arise.
