About The Role
Deliver social impact in line with our Building New Futures strategy, ensuring programmes, initiatives, and partnerships meet client expectations, reflect local community needs, and achieve measurable outcomes. This role plays a key part in turning strategic intent into meaningful action. The opportunity requires you to be on site a minimum of 3 days per week with regular travel to meet stakeholders.
What you'll be doing
* Design social impact action plans for Pathway to 2030 Overhead Line projects within the North Scotland region, this includes Highland, Moray and Aberdeenshire regions.
* Lead the delivery of our Social Impact Plans through attending events, meeting community stakeholders, meeting supply chain partners, delivering awareness raising workshops, delivering staff volunteering and supporting project placements.
* Ensure all initiatives are aligned with the Building New Futures strategy, client priorities, and local needs.
* Work closely with project teams and customers to research, design, and implement bespoke Social Impact Action plans.
* Carry out associated needs analysis and align with customer requirements and Scottish Government policy on Sustainable procurement duty, as outlined in the Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act 2014.
* Build relationships with Community Wealth Building and Community Benefit leads within the local authority areas and develop collaboration with industry partners.
* Lead plan and deliver complex programmes and events that may involve local communities, supply chain partners, educational institutions, and third‑sector organisations.
Who we’re looking for
* Proven experience delivering social impact, social value, or purpose‑led initiatives.
* Strong project planning and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities, deadlines, and stakeholders effectively.
* Understanding of how social impact aligns with business objectives, client expectations, and community needs.
* Understanding of relevant legislation and regulation to support delivery of client commitments.
* Experience developing or delivering action plans, community engagement strategies, or economic development initiatives.
* Confident communicator, able to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including clients, site teams, schools, community organisations, supply chain, and local authorities.
* Experience managing or supporting local partnerships, with a collaborative and inclusive approach.
* Comfortable representing the business in community settings, at project reviews, or during work‑winning processes.
