About The Role
Location: Keith House North Hyde Road Hayes
Shift Pattern: Tuesday Night to Saturday Night
Hours: 23:00 7:30AM
Salary: £33,000 - £35,000
What Youll Be Doing
* Leading Operational Excellence: Take charge of overseeing and optimizing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring seamless execution across all activities and departments.
o Driving High Performance : Develop and implement strategies that drive performance improvements, reduce operational costs, and maximize efficiency. Monitor KPIs closely to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and success.
o Mastering Warehouse Flow : Partner with the Operations Manager to ensure accurate sorting, processing, and dispatching of parcels, driving a smooth operational flow from start to finish.
o Empowering Your Team : Lead, train, and inspire a high-performance warehouse team. Provide mentorship and guidance, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
o Collaborating Across Teams : Work closely with other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration, ensuring smooth operations throughout the business.
o Ensuring Consistency : Enforce adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational consistency, efficiency, and quality at all times.
o Prioritizing Safety : Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring compliance with all regulations and creating a safe working environment for your team.
o Managing the OOH (out of home) Shift : Take full control of managing all aspects of the OHH shift, ensuring optimal productivity and performance.
o Managing Driver Briefings : Oversee and control all aspects of driver pre- and de-briefings, ensuring clear communication and seamless operations.
o Maintaining a Top-Tier Warehouse Environmen t: Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and fully compliant with safety standards to create an efficient and professional environment.
o Upholding Company Standards : Consistently adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring the highest operational standards and integrity.
o Weekend Engagement : Actively participate in weekend conference calls to stay aligned with key operational developments and share insights on performance and strategic priorities .
What We Need From You
* Proven Leadership : Significant experience in a supervisory role, ideally within a parcel sortation or logistics warehouse, with a solid understanding of automated sortation systems and/ or non automated processes.
* Operational Expertise : Strong background in warehouse flow management and a proven ability to optimize processes and drive operational efficiency.
* Inspirational Leadership : Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team towards achieving ambitious goals.
* Strong Communicator : Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments to ensure smooth operations.
* Tech-Savvy : Proficient in warehouse management systems and relevant technology tools that enhance operational performance and efficiency.
* Thrives in High-Paced Environments : Ability to excel in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail and upholding the highest standards.
