Role Overview
A skilled and reliable Drainage Engineer is sought to support the maintenance, installation, and repair of drainage systems. The position involves hands-on technical work, troubleshooting faults, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires a proactive team player capable of managing both independent and collaborative tasks within a close-knit operational team.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, maintain, and repair drainage components using appropriate tools and equipment.
* Conduct CCTV inspections to identify and diagnose issues within drainage systems.
* Unblock drains using high-pressure water jetting equipment.
* Evaluate existing drainage conditions to recommend improvements or required upgrades.
* Work with colleagues, contractors, and engineers to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Complete job cards with accurate details regarding labour, materials, and time spent.
* Conduct routine maintenance checks and report any issues promptly.
* Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (1 in 3 weeks).
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in drainage operations or a related field (minimum 1 year preferred).
* Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Sound plumbing knowledge is an advantage.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
* Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
* CSCS card (preferred).
* Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
Additional Details
* 40-hour work week required.
* Work is primarily site-based.
* Candidates must be able to commute reliably or plan to relocate to the Lincoln area.
