Laly’s Pharmacy is a long-established independent Community pharmacy. We are looking for an enthusiastic pharmacist to join our team in Portsmouth.
This will be a Maternity Cover position until September 2026 [potentially longer], this will be across two branches within Portsmouth.
Work Pattern:
You must be a UK GPhC-registered pharmacist with experience in community pharmacy. We will also consider applications from provisionally registered pharmacists.

As a pharmacist, you will be responsible for the safe, legal and effective running of the pharmacy business, adhering to GPhC required standards on a day-to-day basis.
Key responsibilities:
* Dispense prescription medication accurately & in a timely manner
* Adhere to legal & ethical guidelines and compliance
* Ensure patient and branch records are kept accurate & up to date
* Identify opportunities for improvements & growth within the branch
* Build relationships within the branch and wider organisation, as well as with external partners and associates
* Provide various patient services, e.g., vaccinations & the Pharmacy First services
The ideal candidate:
* Must have the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with patients and customers, with integrity & compassion
* Strong leadership skills are essential. You will be required to build good team working relationships, encourage learning and development and manage staff with the support of the Branch Lead & HR
* Be motivated to maximise the potential business of the pharmacy, through up-to-date knowledge, creative problem-solving & enthusiasm
* Dispensing pressure eased via our dispensing automation process, which allows more time for your Clinical Pharmacist role within the pharmacy.
