Automation Maintenance EngineerLocation: Chelmsford, EssexSalary:£53,000 + Shift Allowance + OvertimeFull Time | Permanent A leading automated distribution operation is looking for a skilled Multi-Skilled Automation Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team at a highly automated site in Chelmsford. This is a great opportunity to work with state-of-the-art automation equipment in a fast-paced environment, supporting critical operations and continuous improvement projects.The Role
* Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on automated equipment
* Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
* Support continuous improvement and reliability projects
* Work closely with engineering and operational teams to minimise downtime
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and fault reports
* Support site performance through proactive engineering solutions
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 / ONC or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
* Experience working on automated machinery or production equipment
* PLC fault-finding experience preferred
* Strong understanding of health & safety
* Able to work independently and within a team
* Full UK driving licence
Shift Pattern This role operates across early, late and night shifts on a rotating basis, including occasional weekend cover and overtime.Package
