Care Worker – Domiciliary Care
Location: Coulsdon
Salary & Benefits
£14.00 per hour (including travel minimum)
£15.50 per hour on weekends
45p per mile mileage paid
Bank Holidays paid at time and a half
Christmas paid at double time
0-hour contract initially
Guaranteed hours available after successful probation (based on reliability)
Overview
We are looking for compassionate and reliable Care Workers to join a growing domiciliary care team in Coulsdon. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and wants to make a real difference in people’s lives every day.
You will be supporting elderly service users, including those living with dementia and Parkinson’s, helping them to remain independent in their own homes. This role is ideal for someone who is caring, personable, and enjoys building meaningful relationships with clients.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality domiciliary care to service users in their own homes
Support with personal care, daily routines, and companionship
Follow care plans and ensure person-centred support
Build positive relationships with service users and their families
Travel between calls within the local area
Provide a friendly, engaging and supportive presence
Requirements
Working Hours
Morning shifts: 7:00am – 11:00am
Evening shifts: 3:30pm – 7:00pm
Flexible working available
Open to full-time, part-time, and weekend availability
Requirements
Minimum 1 year experience in domiciliary care or care home setting
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (driver only)
Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
Female candidates preferred for this role
A positive, chatty and bubbly personality
Willingness to go above and beyond for service users
Compliance & Onboarding
Two references required (1 professional, 1 character)
DBS required (candidate pays upfront, reimbursed after 3-month probation)

Visit lengths typically range from 30 minutes to 1 hour
No eLearning required
Opportunity to secure guaranteed hours after probation based on performance
