About the Job
As a casual Duty Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Leisure Centre, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and high-quality customer experience, with a focus on wet side operations. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations and helping us meet our company goals. Additionally, you will be a key holder, responsible for opening and closing the site during your shifts. Our sites operate from 6am to 10pm, so flexibility with working hours is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Opening and closing the site; serving as the first point of contact during shifts
* Supervising and coordinating maintenance and cleaning activities
* Managing pool plant operations, tasks, and checks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
* Handling H&S incidents, accidents, safeguarding concerns, and reporting them appropriately
* Performing pool hygiene and safety checks
* Providing excellent customer service to all facility users
* Addressing customer queries or complaints effectively
Experience and Qualifications Required
* First Aid at Work Qualification
* Pool Plant Operator Qualification
* Ability to work towards or hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
* Previous experience managing operations within the leisure sector, especially wet side operations
* Supervisory experience
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate staff
* Experience working in a health & safety critical environment, with understanding of relevant legislation
