GSL Education are hiring a knowledgeable History Teacher to join schools in Barnsley, covering the S70 and S71 areas. The History Teacher will deliver lessons that encourage enquiry, analysis, and a deeper understanding of historical events and their impact on the present. Core Responsibilities: Plan and deliver history lessons in line with the national curriculum. Encourage discussion, source analysis, and independent thinking. Support students of all abilities through differentiated teaching. Maintain a positive, inclusive, and focused classroom environment. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. Requirements of History Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience teaching history in a school setting. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). What’s in It for You?
