Job Description
Alexander Lloyd is pleased to be working on an exclusive basis with a Brighton-based organisation, to recruit an HR Business Partner on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a strategic and commercially focused role, responsible for partnering with the business to deliver the People Strategy and support the achievement of wider business objectives. You will play a key role in developing organisational capability, proactively managing the people impact of change, and embedding effective people processes across your client group.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with senior leaders to develop and deliver people plans aligned to business strategy
* Coach and guide managers on policies and their implementation, ensuring consistency and best practice approaches
* Act as escalation point for complex employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances and performance management matters
* Lead the review and development of HR policies and procedures
* Deliver HR projects and contribute to Board-level decision making through research, analysis and well-reasoned recommendations
* Support organisational design initiatives, restructures, consultations and redundancy processes
* Use people data and management information to identify trends, risks and opportunities, recommending appropriate actions
* Support cyclical reward and performance processes within the client group
* Promote continuous improvement across HR systems, processes and service delivery
* Act as an advocate for Diversity & Inclusion
* Lead, manage and coach the Employee Relations Advisor
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience operating as a People Partner or Senior HR Business Partner within a complex organisation
* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build credibility at senior level
* In-depth employee relations experience, including management of complex cases
* Commercially aware, with the ability to balance risk and business benefit when providing advice
* Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation and relevant case law
* Strong analytical capability, comfortable interpreting data and translating insights into action
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for different audiences
