Join our Operations Team based in Dumfries as Inbound Operations Assistant.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
As an Inbound Operations Assistant at Covetrus you have the opportunity to become multiskilled in a variety of different operational departments within the Inbound team. As such you will be developing your skills by working in any of our future driven departments and these duties can include the below:
Pick and Pack
1. Loading of orders on to our advance conveyor system and/or vehicle supported order picking
2. The advance pick and pack of our technology driven pick process throughout the facility
3. The logistical completion of customer orders based on the geographical location
4. Auditing and verification of product quality
Dispatch
5. Efficient loading of customer orders on to our logistic network
6. Orchestrate priority customer movements with the supply chain, including paperwork
7. Ensure continuous supply of stock movement
8. Opportunity to gain MHE qualifications
Relevant to all departments
9. Manual handling – work within warehouse environment lifting, moving, carrying and transporting pallets/boxes of goods using pallet trucks. Work at height on the internal equipment we have (i.e. high order pickers, wave machines).
10. To maintain the highest standards of Housekeeping by adhering to cleaning plans.
11. To fully comply with all Health and Safety requirements and instruction given.
12. Select goods for customer sales orders from their designated 'Fixed' stock locations. Securely pack sales orders in appropriate transit packaging & attach the customer's address label.
13. Quality Assistance checks on picked orders
